Starting from Scratch

Time to start something new.

Having been through the worlds of graphic design, mobile app development, coffee and espresso, I feel like it is time to do something new. There are a lot of things that I have grown up with, developed a taste for, and liked to shake my ass to. These experiences have shaped me into who I am today.

I have been able to express myself in these worlds visually for as long as I have known. However being able to do the same aurally has alluded me. Dancing until the sun comes up has been a love of mine for ages. It is time to help others do the same.

I do not know where to start.

This is my journey

This blog will be updated as much as I can spare my time, while teaching myself about sound, software, DJing, and music. I plan to take what I have learned in other industries and apply them to my new hobby (and who knows if one day it is a career, planning on keeping my amateur status as long as possible).

I want to focus on what I learn and more importantly keeping it as a journal to myself to keep notes of what I have done. Time to make mistakes, grow from them, throwdown the beat, and make some goddamn music.

The last time I did something musically was piano lessons as an 8 year old. This really will be starting from scratch.
